Dr. Kevin Barlow is the Founder of and Lead Educational Research Consultant
for Paramount Education. Kevin began his career in education
in 1992 and has 25 years of experience in the area of research, assessment, evaluation, and accountability.
This includes 3 years in the area of assessment and accreditation at the University
level giving him a unique K-16 experience. He received his Ph.D. in Educational
Psychology with an emphasis in Research, Measurement, and Statistics from Texas A&M University. He retired
from K-12 in 2021, with his last position being the Assistant Superintendent of Research and Accountability for a large Texas school district.
He is currently teaching doctoral quantitative research classes at the University level and has served on the Accountability
Technical Advisory Committee (ATAC) with the Texas Education Agency (TEA).
Dr. Barlow founded Paramount Education because he saw a high need
for quality, unbiased research in the area of education. He believes strongly in its
mission to provide a comprehensive independent research-based resource of easily accessible
and interpretable data for policy makers, school administrators, teachers, and parents
to use in making decisions.
